Kelvion partners with immersion cooling firm Rosseau

GERMANY/USA: German heat exchanger manufacturer Kelvion and US immersion cooling company Rosseau have announced a partnership to deliver enhanced immersion cooling solutions for the high performance computing (HPC) market.

The collaboration is intending to address the accelerating thermal management challenges prevalent in bitcoin mining and AI. The partner companies claim a shared commitment to innovation and say they will set new standards in power density, efficiency and performance for the HPC market, starting with bitcoin mining.

Describing the partnership as a “key moment” for both companies and the entire HPC industry, Steffen Thierfelder, Kelvion’s EVP of sales & service claimed: “By combining our advanced cooling technologies with Rosseau’s innovative immersion cooling solutions, we are not only advancing state of the art technology in thermal management but also delivering tangible solutions to our customers. This collaboration is poised to redefine the standards of efficiency, sustainability, and performance, ensuring our customers stay ahead in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.”

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Rosseau is known for its scalable and power-dense immersion cooling solutions catered to the most demanding computing environments. Their total solution offering includes proprietary immersion technology dielectric fluid, and custom firmware, backed by services such as turn-key installations, routine maintenance and mining-as-a-service.

Rosseau’s chief technology officer, Rick Margerison, co-leads Immersion cooling requirements for the Open Compute Project, which informs data centre standards for Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, and others.
