Keymark reaches 10,000th certification

BELGIUM: Ten years on from its establishment by the heat pump industry, the Keymark scheme has achieved its 10,000th heat pump certification.

Co-ordinated by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), the Heat Pump Keymark is a voluntary certification mark, based on independent third-party testing. It demonstrates a compliance with European standards and requirements, including Ecodesign requirements (lot 1 and lot 2).

The scheme benefits from the collaboration of over 180 renowned brands spread across Europe.

“Achieving 10,000 certified models is a clear testament to the value of Heat Pump Keymark in building consumer trust and promoting sustainable innovation,” said Johannes Brugmann, the scheme’s chair. “Despite the challenges currently facing the heating and cooling sector, this accomplishment underscores the importance of ensuring high-quality products with reliable performance.”

“This milestone sets a positive tone for the years to come,” the secretariat remarked. “Reaching 10,000 certified models in early January signals great momentum for 2025 and beyond.”
