Keyter signs technology development deal
31st October 2026
SPAIN: Córdoba-based equipment manufacturer Keyter has signed a collaboration agreement with leading Spanish research and technological development centre Tecnalia to promote innovation in sustainable air conditioning and refrigeration.
The alliance will boost the development of high-temperature heat pumps, solutions for Data Processing Centers (DPCs), and advanced digitisation technologies. The collaboration will focus particularly on the development of high-temperature heat pumps, solutions for data centres such as chillers and terminal units, as well as advanced digitalisation applied to processes and equipment.
The goal is to design and validate equipment with higher energy efficiency and lower operating costs that meet the growing demand for sustainable solutions in both industrial and residential buildings.
The agreement outlines a broad set of collaborative initiatives, including the identification of technological trends and business opportunities in the HVAC sector; joint definition and development of strategic R&D projects; generation and exploitation of intellectual property; strategic consulting services in innovation; laboratory activities for equipment validation and verification; technical advice on component design and selection; and specialized training and talent development.
In addition, both entities will collaborate on technologies related to advanced manufacturing, new materials for high-temperature heat exchangers and corrosive environments, hydrogen-based hot/cold solutions, technologies for district heating and cooling, thermal storage, as well as applications in large-scale agricultural processes.
