Koura strikes Carrier supplier deal
19th January 2021USA: Refrigerant manufacturer and supplier Koura Fluorochemicals has joined the Carrier Alliance programme, the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment manufacturer’s strategic long-term supplier agreement.
The deal means Koura, previously known as Mexichem, will transition from being a regional refrigerant supplier to a supplier across Carrier’s HVAC and Refrigeration portfolios in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The Carrier Alliance programme, first announced last year, seeks to optimise the US manufacturer’s supply chain as part of planned cost savings of $600m over the next three years. Carrier has previously stated that the programme “will both strengthen and lengthen strategic relationships with suppliers and provide certainty, security and growth opportunities for Carrier and its key suppliers”.
