Lennox targets Middle East and Africa

FRANCE: Lennox EMEA is to expand its HVAC and refrigeration business in the Middle East and African markets.

This will include a more focused product portfolio for the region and further development of the company’s distributor network across a growing number of countries.

Although an established brand in the region for many years, Lennox says it is now rethinking its local approach “in order to take advantage of clear growth opportunities in the MEA market”. Lennox sees those opportunities in the region’s extremely high ambient temperatures and a young population with high spending power.

The changes will include a larger network of local HVAC distributors in countries that include the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq.

As part of this move, Lennox will begin offering online training to distributors and installers supported by back-office staff located in Europe.

Among the core HVAC products for the MEA will be the full range of Lennox split system air conditioning units, VRF solutions and packaged units for domestic and commercial applications.

“We believe our portfolio is the perfect match for strong HVAC growth in the MEA region, particularly in combination with our strengthening presence through agents and local distributors in key countries,” stated Cyrille Pergentini, Lennox export sales manager for the MEA region.

“Dubai is a hub for the entire MEA region and it’s been our historic focal point. However, by extending our presence to countries like Saudi Arabia, we see the potential for a huge pipeline of projects. With the right approach, the right product portfolio and the right team in the region, the possibility exists to quadruple our sales in the coming years,” he added.
