Lindab buys Danish damper manufacturer

SWEDEN: Ventilation product manufacturer Lindab has extended its operations with the acquisition of Danish grilles and damper manufacturer Klimatek A/S.

Klimatek manufactures both standardised and customer-specific components. A number of them being made of aluminium also makes them suitable for Lindab’s marine business.

“Klimatek will be a welcome addition to our Danish operations with its focus on quality and short delivery times,” said Lindab president and CEO Ola Ringdahl. “Together we will be able to offer even more complete ventilation systems based on the customer’s demands.”

Klimatek MD and founder, Ib Mortensen, will continue to run the business as part of Lindab.

Klimatek was founded in 1986 and is based in Skive in northwestern Denmark. The company has annual sales of approximately SEK30m (€3m).
