Luvata to establish factory in Serbia

20140613-004352-2632228.jpgFINLAND: Luvata is to establish a new air conditioning and refrigeration heat exchanger factory in Serbia.

The newly acquired 8,400m² facility in Sremska Mitrovia is located in the Voivodine province of Serbia and will manufacture Luvata’s smaller, higher-volume heat exchangers for the commercial refrigeration and residential air conditioning industries.

Scheduled to begin operations in September and employing 50 people, the new factory is located within an hour’s drive north to of Romania and Croatia in the west. Lower energy costs and various trade agreements with surrounding countries will enable Luvata to be more cost competitive in serving its customers in Turkey, Russia and Eastern Europe.
