Maltese customs seize air conditioner shipment

MALTA: Customs officials have seized over 350 air conditioning units at the port of Valetta. 

A container, with contents declared as generators, was actually found to be containing 188 indoor units and 171 outdoor air conditioning units.

The unnamed importer was presented with a seizure note by the Customs Department pending further investigations.

No other details, including where the shipment originated, have been revealed.
