Mauro Mantovan RIP

ITALY: Mauro Mantovan, founder and CEO of Italian precision cooling equipment manufacturer HiRef, died suddenly at his home at the weekend.

A graduate in engineering and an MBA from CUOA, one of the most important management schools in Italy, the 58-year-old engineer founded HiRef in September 2001, growing the company to a turnover of over €78m with over 300 employees.

A post on the company’s LinkedIn page said: “We have lost a leader, a father, a friend, a teacher,” adding “Please bear with us if in these days the service you are usually used to will be limited, we trust you understand the moment of pain we are facing. A challenging future full of responsibility awaits us, but we will treasure his teachings, his vision and also his way of dealing with life.”
