MHI latest to launch R32 air conditioners

JAPAN: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has become the latest Japanese company to introduce a range of R32 air conditioners to its home market.

The new TS Series units are amongst three new ranges of air conditioners to be launched in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries over the coming months, starting early March.

The three new series of residential air conditioners include 17 models in all. Six models will be available in the R32-bearing TS Series, in sizes from 2.2kW to 5.6kW; six models in the top-of-the-line high efficiency SS Series and five units in the “functionally advanced” RS Series.

This latest announcement by a Japanese manufacturer follows Daikin’s lead on R32 introductions, a move followed by similar launches in the Far East and Oceania by Hitachi, Panasonic, Fujitsu  and Mitsubishi Electric.

Daikin’s R32 units are already available in mainland Europe, with UK launch expected this year.
