Mitsubishi reports robust demand for air conditioners

JAPAN: Mitsubishi Electric has reported robust demand for its air conditioners in the first quarter of this financial year.
Sales of its Life segment, which includes air conditioning and building systems, grew 24% to JPY379.7 billion ($2.7 billion) compared to the same quarter last year. Profit increased 347% in the same period to JPY36.9 billion ($258 billion).
The increase was attributed to robust demand in Asia and Europe.
