Modine opens precision cooling facility in Calgary

CANADA: US manufacturer Modine has opened a further precision cooling equipment factory in Canada.

Last week, the company announced the official opening of a new 29,000m2 Airedale by Modine precision cooling equipment facility in Bradford, UK. A further 23,200m² factory has now been opened in Calgary.

According to Modine, this latest facility will meet the increased demand from data centre customers, particularly in the hyperscale market.

Modine acquired Canada-based air handling unit company Scott Springfield Manufacturing in February and promptly broke ground on a third facility to manufacture advanced air handling units for hyperscale data center customers under the Airedale by Modine brand.

This new facility expands Modine’s ability to provide customers with cooling equipment from a global manufacturing footprint that includes facilities in Spain, the UK, and the USA. The first Airedale by Modine units from the new Calgary facility are expected to be delivered by the end of 2024.

“Following the recent announcement of the opening of our facility in Bradford, UK, we are well-positioned to serve data centre customers worldwide,” commented Modine’s climate solutions president Eric McGinnis.
