“Natural” refrigerants groups join forces

GERMANY: The “natural” refrigerants groups Eurammon and Refrigerants, Naturally! have joined forces to amplify their impact in promoting “natural” refrigerants in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technologies.

In a statement the two parties said that their combined strengths would provide a comprehensive platform for engaging with key stakeholders, would expand their resources and extend their global network to accelerate the transition to “natural” refrigerants across various industries.

“By joining forces, we significantly strengthen our impact in promoting natural refrigerants. In the face of climate change, we must intensify efforts to transition towards future-proof solutions in the RACHP sector,” said Eurammon’s recently elected chairman Rob Vandenboer.

Refrigerants, Naturally! board member Menno van der Hoff, who is also member of the Eurammon executive board, said: “Both organisations share a strong commitment to promoting natural refrigerants, with different backgrounds and membership bases, and have built a solid reputation in the industry. With our combined strengths we will accelerate the shift away from chemical refrigerants towards natural alternatives, particularly in the commercial HVAC industry and especially outside of Europe, where F-gases remain prevalent.”

The new Eurammon office managed by HEAT GmbH will serve as the contact for the combined group.

Eurammon was founded in 1996 and is dedicated to promoting “natural” refrigerants in the interest of a healthy environment, and  to further develop a sustainable approach to refrigeration. It has nearly 80 members in 27 countries and boasts a global network of co-operation agreements and memberships with international and national associations and institutions.

Launched in 2004, Refrigerants, Naturally! promotes the use of “natural” refrigerants and provides a platform to engage with the business community, political decision makers, NGOs and other parties.
