Nexson Group acquires Thermowave

FRANCE: French heat exchanger manufacturer Nexson has acquired Thermowave, a sister company of German refrigeration equipment manufacturer Güntner and subsidiary of Vienna-based A-Heat AG.

Based in Berga in Saxony-Anhalt, Thermowave was formed in 1992 to manufacture plate heat exchangers. The Nexson Group, headquartered in Burgundy in central France, is a privately owned producer of welded heat exchangers and pressure vessels.

According to Nexson, Thermowave’s gasketed and semi-welded plate heat exchangers will complement its current product portfolio. It will continue to operate as a stand-alone entity under its existing name.

In a statement, the company said: “We are confident that Nexson Group with the acquisition of Thermowave will utilise significant future growth opportunities with positive impact for customers globally in search of a wide range of reliable, quality heat exchangers from one single source.”

Thermowave’s main sales area comprises the DACH region, France, eastern Europe, Asia and America. Its main business line is refrigeration and air conditioning technology for the chemical and industrial sectors.
