North Macedonia ratifies Kigali

NORTH MACEDONIA: The Republic of North Macedonia has become the 94th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to phase down HFC refrigerants.
Under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, countries commit to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.
Having gained its independence in 1991 as one of the successor states of Yugoslavia, North Macedonia is currently one of five EU candidate countries, together with Albania, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey.
