Panasonic celebrates first propane Aquarea

CZECH REPUBLIC: Panasonic celebrated the production of its first Aquarea propane air-to-water heat pump with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Plzen factory yesterday.

The news follows Panasonic’s recent announcement of the availability of its R290 Aquarea L monobloc, along with R290 versions of its ECOi-W heat pump chiller due this autumn.

Last year, the Japanese manufacturer said it would invest €145m in the Czech factory to boost heat pump production to 500,000 units by the end of March 2026.

Production at the former Panasonic television factory commenced in 2018.
