Panasonic partners with Borussia Dortmund
1st October 2026
GERMANY: Panasonic Heating & Cooling Europe have declared an official partnership with German Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund (BVB) to work on specific projects to modernise the club’s infrastructure.
Runners-up to champions Bayern Munich in last season’s top Bundesliga division, Borussia Dortmund will work with Panasonic to raise the profile of innovative technologies and explore pilot projects at various BVB facilities where Panasonic’s heat pump, air conditioning and cooling systems could be utilised.
Maintaining that Borussia Dortmund was far more than just a football club, José Manuel Alves, Panasonic’s regional director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Ireland, commented: “BVB stands for emotion, solidarity and a unique bond between the team and the fans.
“At the same time, we are united by our responsibility towards future generations. With our technologies, we aim to help make the club’s infrastructure more sustainable and support its decarbonisation targets. In this way, we combine top-class performance on the pitch with responsibility for the future.”
The partnership is set to run for five seasons up to 2031.
