Refrigerant cylinder explodes killing motor cyclist

INDIA: One man is reported to have died and another seriously injured after a refrigerant cylinder being carried on a motor scooter exploded.

Based on information provided by the local police, press reports say the deceased was working at Daikin Airconditioning India Private Limited in Trimurti Nagar. He and his colleague left the company on Wednesday (June 5) on a two-wheeler, placing the refrigerant cylinder on the bike near his feet.

During the journey the cylinder suddenly exploded and both were seriously injured. The deceased, Yogesh Dnyaneshwar Tandewar, later died in hospital, while colleague, Sudhir Hadge, the pillion passenger, is undergoing treatment.
