New line-up: (l to r) Will Clark of Enterprise Ventures, John Charles, John Poole and John Kirkpatrick of RefSols

UK: Refrigerant Solutions (RefSols) has appointed former Mexichem technical sales manager John Kirkpatrick as commercial director.

John joins the Liverpool-based developer of lower GWP refrigerants, on the back of a long career in the chemicals industry, initially working at ICI and most recently at Mexichem on the Wirral. His appointment follows the recent £750,000 investment in RefSols by The North West Fund for Mezzanine, managed by finance company Enterprise Ventures.

John’s appointment allows for the eventual retirement of RefSols’ founder John Poole, although Poole will continue in his role as CEO for the immediate future.

“John Kirkpatrick has an in-depth knowledge of the chemical industry and the regulatory environment and his experience makes him ideally suited to take RefSols forward,” commented Will Clark of Enterprise Ventures. “His global network of contacts will help the company take advantage of the worldwide market for replacement refrigerant gases and boost its export sales.”
