Refrigeration is major focus at EuroShop

GERMANY: The forthcoming EuroShop exhibition has dedicated more space to refrigeration and cooling technologies to accommodate growing demand from the sector.

The leading international retail trade fair which takes place in Düsseldorf from 26 February to 2 March 2023, will feature over 200 refrigeration-related exhibitors across halls 14-17. This is a significant increase on the 170 refrigeration exhibitors at the last event in 2020.

The growing importance of refrigeration at Euroshop is in contrast to other sectors. While this triennial event managed to side-step the covid-related interruptions suffered by other exhibitions, its effects remain. The show organiser reports around 1700 exhibitors at this year’s show, down around 25% from 2,300 exhibitors in 2020.

Its new Refrigeration & Energy Management section promises equipment for stores – from chilling cabinets, refrigeration systems and systems for indoor farming to air conditioning, heat recovery, building management and e-mobility.
