Romania is 99th to ratify Kigali

ROMANIA: The number of countries to have ratified the Kigali Amendment edges close to 100 with the addition of Romania.

Romania’s ratification brings the total number of countries to 99, and leaves only Italy, Malta and Spain amongst the EU member states still to ratify.

Under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, countries commit to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.

The countries to have ratified the Kigali Amendment in date order are:
