Sanhua joins Carrier Alliance

USA: Chinese manufacturer Sanhua has become the latest component supplier to sign a strategic long-term agreement with US air conditioning and refrigeration company Carrier.

As part of this agreement under the recently initiated Carrier Alliance, Sanhua will supply engineered components including valves, heat exchangers and drives across Carrier’s HVAC and refrigeration portfolios.

Carrier and Sanhua have collaborated for many years, with Sanhua, most recently, developing thermal expansion valves and micro-channel heat exchangers for Carrier products.

The Carrier Alliance programme, first announced last year, seeks to optimise the US manufacturer’s supply chain as part of planned cost savings of $600m over the next three years. Carrier has previously stated that the programme “will both strengthen and lengthen strategic relationships with suppliers and provide certainty, security and growth opportunities for Carrier and its key suppliers”.
