Sauermann acquired by Verder Group

Sauermann’s condensate pump factory in Chevry-Cossigny

NETHERLANDS/FRANCE: Verder, a manufacturer of industrial pumping solutions and laboratory equipment, has acquired condensate pump and instrument manufacturer Sauermann.

Headquartered in Vleuten, near Utrecht, Verder boasts a turnover of around €470m and serves customers worldwide across industries, including chemical, food and beverage and water treatment. It employs approximately 2,000 people, who work in over 50 sales offices and 20 manufacturing sites around the globe.

Verder described the acquisition as a “significant step forward” for the company “as it continues to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its position in the global pump and equipment industry”.

It sees Sauermann’s expertise in HVACR technologies as a complement to its own extensive range of solutions making its solutions available to a broader range of industries and customers.

From its beginnings in France in 1976 creating electronic measurement instruments, Sauermann moved into the international condensate detection and removal pumps market in 1993. It later became a group, expanding its business to include air quality measurement instruments. It has around 400 employees across 12 sites, including four production units.

“This acquisition not only strengthens our position in the HVACR market, but also aligns with our commitment to delivering advanced technological solutions to our customers,” commented Verder CEO Andries Verder.
