Stulz buys Spanish company Tecnivel

GERMANY: Precision air conditioning equipment manufacturer Stulz has acquired Spanish HVAC equipment manufacturer Tecnivel.
Established in 1971, Tecnivel is best known for its air handling units but also manufactures a range of products including coils, air curtains, fan coils and ventilation units. Latest products include a tailor-made range of air handlers specifically designed for data centres. According to Stulz, this has made Tecnivel a reference point in the air conditioning of data centres in Spain.
“The purchase of Tecnivel represents a global important expansion of the Stulz products portfolio, and complements, as well, its solutions portfolio of air-conditioning for data centers, reinforcing its leadership position within the IT sector,” said Axel Schneider, managing director of Stulz España.
Schneider insisted that the company’s integration into Stulz would enable Tecnivel to consolidate its leadership in Spain, as well as develop its business in Europe and other growing markets such as the Middle East, Africa and South of America.
