Swegon buys UK company Waterloo

UK: Swegon, the Swedish manufacturer of ventilation and indoor climate products and owner of Blue Box chillers, has acquired UK grilles and diffuser company Waterloo Air Products.

Based in Aylesford, Kent, Waterloo Air Products has 140 employees and achieved net sales of £12m (€13.7m) in 2019. It manufactures ventilation grilles, diffusers, weather louvres, VAV systems, plenum boxes and active and passive chilled beams.

“The UK as the second largest ventilation market in Europe has long been a priority for Swegon with previous successful UK acquisitions contributing well to the overall growth and profitability of the group,” said Swegon Group CEO Hannu Saastamoinen. “This acquisition gives us a market leading position in grilles and diffusers, enhancing our ability to serve our customers with a full offering for high indoor environmental quality.”
