Toshiba Carrier sponsors Japanese rugby team

JAPAN: Toshiba Carrier has signed a sponsorship agreement with Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo which will see the Japanese rugby union club sporting jerseys with the Carrier logo.

Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo are based in Fuchu and play in Japan Rugby League One, the highest level of professional rugby competition in the country. It has won the championship five time, including three years in a row between 2004 and 2007.

In addition to Carrier branding on the club jerseys, the Carrier logo will also be displayed on pitch-side advertising banners inside the host stadium.

Toshiba has a long history of supporting rugby having previously sponsored Rugby World Cups and recently announced its official partnership in the UK with Gallagher Premiership rugby club Sale Sharks, one of Europe’s top professional rugby union clubs.

Under this agreement, Toshiba will support Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo as a sponsor, and its players will participate in domestic games wearing jerseys with the Carrier logo. The Carrier logo will also be displayed on pitch-side advertising banners inside the host stadium.
