Trane completes AL-KO purchase

IRELAND: Trane Technologies has confirmed its acquisition of German air handling unit manufacturer AL-KO Air Technology.

The agreement to purchase the company, a division of AL-KO SE, based in Jettingen-Scheppach, was first announced in August.

AL-KO Air Technology is said to bring complementary air handling, extraction and ventilation solutions to Trane’s commercial HVAC product and services portfolios in Europe and Asia. 

Approximately 800 AL-KO employees in Europe and China have joined the Trane Technologies team. The company’s three manufacturing sites in Jettingen-Scheppach and Wittenberg, Germany, and Taicang, China, are now part of Trane Technologies, along with its sales offices in Europe and Asia. 

Dr Christian Stehle, current CEO of AL-KO Air Technology will continue to run the business.
