Uniechemie becomes Celsis

NETHERLANDS: Dutch refrigeration wholesaler Uniechemie, part of the Beijer Ref group, has changed its name to Celsis.
The Apeldoorn-based company says that the name change is the result of a clear repositioning of the company in the refrigeration, heat pump and air conditioning market.
“People have known our organisation for years as a refrigerant and refrigeration specialist,” said Uniechemie commercial director Rob Wolthuizen. “Our technical support in this area has always been highly valued by our customers. But the market is also increasingly demanding smarter and more sustainable solutions. Our range has therefore expanded over the years. For example, in 2020, the product range was supplemented with chillers and heat pumps. In 2021 an air conditioning line of Sinclair was added. With this, we are now also serving the climate technology market.

“The choice for a new brand name supports better who we are and what we do for our customers: installers, consultants, contractors and architects in the refrigeration and climate technology market.”
Uniechemie was acquired by G & L Beijer in 2007.
