US to investigate R134a imports

9006603_lUSA: The US Department of Commerce has initiated anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations into imports of R134a from China.

The news follows a petition by Mexichem at the end of October accusing China of dumping cheap subsidised R134a onto the US market. A preliminary determination is expected around the end of next week.

The background to the decision was included in our story of November 4: Chinese accused of dumping R134a.
