Wieland acquires heat exchanger firm Provides

GERMANY/ITALY: German copper tube manufacturer Wieland has acquired Italian heat exchanger specialist Provides Metalmeccanica Srl, one of its current customers.

Established in 1968 in Latina, Italy, Provides is a leading company in the research, development and production of evaporators and condensers has additional sites in Verona, USA, and Chengdu, China. Originally specialised in the production of metallic office furniture, it started working in the air conditioning sector In 1991, designing and manufacturing the first series of heat exchangers in 1996.

In a statement, Wieland said: “With Wieland’s leading expertise in copper alloys and the technologies of the Provides specialists, products in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology will be jointly developed in the future. Provides stands for energy-efficient, sustainable technologies in the area of tube bundles, heat exchangers and air conditioning systems worldwide and supports Wieland’s internationalisation and sustainability strategy.”
