Wieland invests $500m in US site

USA: Wieland, the German manufacturer of copper and copper alloy tubes and components has broken ground on a $500m capital investment in its facility located in East Alton, Illinois.

The investment expands will re-equip, expand and modernise the facility’s capabilities. The plans include adding a state-of-the-art hot rolling mill that will enable Wieland to increase and improve the production of essential copper and copper alloy components. 

Modernisation efforts have begun and are expected to be completed by mid-2028.
