Bitzer new KE and KF condenser family

GERMANY: Bitzer’s KE and KF condenser series offers customisable solutions for both fresh water or brine fluids and most refrigerant types.

Designed for hydrocarbon refrigerants (R290, R1290) as well as ammonia HFCs, HFOs and HFC/HFO blends, the KE and KF condensers will replace Bitzer’s current K, CXP and CRF condenser series.

The KE series is available with condensing capacities from 8kW to 2600kW and the KF series ranges from 300kW to 2600kW. All connections and dimensions are designed to replace the existing condensers.

The condensers are said to combine high efficiency with compact length thanks to a newly developed two-pass design on the refrigerant side. This design makes it possible to reach a minimum thermal approach between the water leaving temperature and the refrigerant condensing temperature.

The KE condensers, in two- or four-pass design, come in 11 shell diameters and 10 standard tube lengths.

Both ranges can be delivered in different versions such as medium-pressure versions for hydrocarbons and ammonia, HFC, HFO and HFC/HFO blends, as well as high-temperature versions for heat pump applications with HFO and hydrocarbons for production of pressurised water up to +130°C.

High-pressure versions with 48bar design pressure are also available.
