Carel offers Boss for smaller systems

ITALY: Carel has introduced Boss micro, a new addition to its wi-fi enabled local supervisor system for refrigeration and air conditioning applications.
The new Boss micro retains the same interface as the Boss and Boss Mini, but extends the offering for local monitoring systems to applications such as c-stores, petrol stations and quick service restaurants with a limited number of units.
Boss micro comes in four different hardware versions offering a flexible solution integrating a wi-fi hotspot and a 4G modem.
It claims to guarantee optimisation of system performance through a wide choice of additional software components, such as management of compressor rack suction pressure or dashboards of performance indicators.
It also integrates with third-party devices, allowing integration into BMS systems using the most common HVACR protocols.
