Deluxe unit extends Wind-Free options

UK: Samsung has extended its Wind-Free range of wall-mounted air conditioners with the Wind-Free Deluxe for its VRF and heat pump systems.

The Wind-Free Deluxe extends Samsung’s VRF offering to medium-sized and large commercial buildings, and creates an all-in-one heating and cooling heat pump solution for residential houses.

Similar to Samsung’s other Wind-Free wall-mounted models, the Deluxe version uses thousands of micro-holes to disperse fresh air uniformly and avoids unpleasant cold drafts.

It can be operated via wired or wireless controllers or controlled and monitored remotely by using the Samsung SmartThings app and Bixby voice control.

The new unit has been designed to simplify installation by using a roller type bracket that easily slides into place and requires only two installation screws. In addition, the unit features a snap-fit bottom cover that can be easily opened and closed to aid servicing. Due to the outside placement of the air filters, servicing can be done without opening the entire unit.

Combining the the Wind-Free Deluxe with Samsung’s Eco Heating System (EHS) heat pump and TDM Plus system creates a complete heating and cooling solution.

For Samsung’s DVM VRF, the Deluxe units range in capacity from 1.5 to 8.2 kW, with or without an EEV kit. For EHS the units range in capacity from 1.5 to 8.2 kW and are only available with an EEV kit.
