DMTouch receives major software update

UK: Controls manufacturer Resource Data Management (RDM) has launched what it describes as a major software update for its DMTouch front-end control system.

DMTouch software v3.0 includes an entirely new user interface (UI), that RDM says is faster and more efficient for users to view, manage and control their data. At the same time, it retains a similar navigation structure to the previous software.

A significant new feature, which RDM says will be particularly beneficial for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, is the option to assign an RDM digital signature to exported data. This guarantees the integrity of data, as it cannot be corrupted by the user interference as digital signatures are removed upon user edit.

For HVAC/BMS or refrigeration applications, the system has the capability to create a panel-specific dashboard. Options include gauges, real-time graphs, alarms, device status, temperature performance indicator and discipline summaries.

The DMTouch software v3.0 is said to provide a faster and more efficient user interface

Andrew Chandler, CEO of the RDM Group, says that the new update has been in development for more than two years and has been inspired by feedback from customers.

“We designed the new UI to enhance usability, increase productivity and accelerate the time taken for users to perform day-to-day tasks. We focused on the user experience for all team members – installation and maintenance engineers, and facility, compliance, and energy managers – making the product more efficient to use,” he said.
