First chillers under Daikin Applied brand

Daikin-Applied-ewaq-gxsEUROPE: Daikin has announced the introduction of five new air- and water-cooled chillers under its Daikin Applied brand in Germany.

The new European Daikin Applied additions are the first since the company changed its name from McQuay at the end of March.

The expanded range of chillers include new water-cooled chillers EWWQ-G and EWWQ-L, a water-water heat pump EWHQ-G-SS, air-cooled chiller EWAQ-G and air-water heat pump EWYQ-G.

The EWWQ-G and EWWQ-L chillers are available as cooling only or as a heat pump version and with one or two refrigerant circuits available. The cooling capacity ranges 92-722 kW. The EWHQ-G-SS series is refrigerant side reversible and therefore ideal for geothermal applications. It boasts an EER of up to 4.56.

In addition to the cooling only air-cooled EWAQ-G, the air-water EWYQ-G heat pump is available in standard and high efficiency versions. Cooling and heating capacities range from 75-168 kW (cooling) and 89 to 182kW (heating). The chillers are also available in special noise-reduced versions. EER is said to be up to 3.20 in cooling mode and a COP of up to 3.20 in heating.

All chillers are Eurovent-certified and operate with R410A refrigerant. Of compact design, the chillers are said to be easy to maintain and offer low operating costs.
