Heat pump unit for larger residential properties

GERMANY: A new system based on Vaillant heat pumps is said to offer an energy efficient solution for large residential complexes.

The Energy Unit from Bavaria-based energy and building technology specialist Alois Müller employs cascade connections to supply up to 30 residential units and a heating load of up to 65kW.

The new system is suitable for renovation of existing buildings, as well as for new construction projects in multi-storey residential or commercial buildings.

“With our new concept, large residential complexes can be renovated for energy efficiency much more quickly than before,” claims Alois Müller MD Andreas Müller.

The modular heating centre is simply connected as a separate, external unit, which significantly simplifies and speeds up installation.

The entire system technology, the buffer storage and the control of the heating circuits are already combined in the unit ready for connection and are assembled on site by specialist companies and then put into operation by Vaillant.

Depending on the heating load and the number of heat pumps used, the heat pump block delivers 20, 30, 40 or 65kW.
