Samsung launches R290 heat pump

NETHERLANDS: Samsung has now launched its new EHS Mono R290 heat pump series across Europe.

Unveiled at the ISH exhibition in March, the EHS Mono R290 is available in capacities of 5, 8, 12, and 16kW. All the units are single fan, with the smaller 5 and 8kW units being only 850mm in height.

The EHS Mono is said to provide a consistent supply of hot water up to 75°C, making the range ideal for renovations and retrofits.

Samsung claims a higher heat transfer performance due to an integral plate heat exchanger that is up to 39% larger than conventional outdoor units.

The heat pump is said to be capable of delivering a 100% heating performance in temperatures as low as -10°C. It also enables the production of DHW at 70°C at outdoor temperatures of -10°C to 43°C without using the booster heater.

Designed for simple installation, service and maintenance, the internal components of the EHS Mono can be accessed through the side panel.

The EHS Mono R290 is also compatible with the EHS Cloud Service and can be integrated with SmartThings Energy app, which provides professionals with a wealth of technical data and insights, enabling remote monitoring of the unit as well as energy saving automation.
