Thermocold set to launch R290 heat pump

ITALY: The expansion of the availability of propane equipment continues, with Italian manufacturer manufacturer Thermocold set to launch a new range of air-to-water heat pumps using the refrigerant.

Previewing the new range on LinkedIn, Thermocold reveals that the iMex-N range will be available in heating capacities from 8kW to 30kW.

Said to be suitable for comfort heating and cooling applications, the new models are described as a good replacement for gas boilers in older light commercial buildings.

The models will include inverter technology on both the compressor and fan and are said to have been optimised for low noise emissions in every condition.

The iMex-N will operate down to -20°C ambients, providing 75°C hot water at 0°C outdoor air temperature, the company says.

Designed as a plug and play unit thanks to its integrated hydronic module, the iMex-N said to be easy install and maintain.
