Vertiv moves data centre cooler to R513A

UK: The new Vertiv Liebert PDX-PAM direct expansion perimeter cooling unit is using lower GWP refrigerant R513A.

Available now in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the PDX-PAM is available from 10kW to 80kW with a wide range of airflow configurations, options and accessories.

According to Verity, this makes  the unit easily adaptable to various installation needs, from small to medium data centres including edge computing applications, UPS and battery rooms.

A wide choice of cooling solutions is also available with the Liebert PDX-PAM units for managing heat rejection externally.

R513A is an A1 non-flammable blend of R134a and R1234yf, with a GWP of around 630.

The PDX-PAM features inverter-driven brushless motor compressors, staged coil design with patent-pending filter, electronic expansion valves and EC fans, all included as standard.

The integrated Vertiv Liebert iCOM controller enables seamless synchronisation of these components, allowing complete modulation of performance.
