Birmingham society renames and relaunches
20th October 2026
UK: The Birmingham Society of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (BSRA) is to relaunch itself under a new name and new focus.
The regional society, which has been inexistent since 1964, is to be renamed the Central England Society of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning CESRA to reflect its reach and serve members locally, nationally and globally.
While the BSRA once held annual dinners and at one time even hosted its own regional exhibition at the Motorcycle Museum, Paul Singh the driving force behind the society admits it has been relatively inactive since covid brought a temporary end to proceedings.
Singh is now behind the relaunch, maintaining that the RACHP industry deserves a dedicated voice in the heart of England. “Whether you are an experienced engineer, an apprentice just starting out, or a business committed to raising standards across your workforce, CESRA is your professional home,” he said.
CESRA is free to join and is open to everyone working in the RACHP sector.
