Chris Bailie takes SkillFridge gold

Chris BaillieUK: Chris Bailie of Belfast-based BL Refrigeration has struck gold at WorldSkills UK.

Chris took the UK  SkillFridge Gold medal at today’s WorldSkills UK final at the NEC after three days of head-to-head practical competition.

Chris, 19, is a student at South East Regional College, Lisburn, Newtownards.

The Silver medal went to Umesh Kara of Climate Control (South East), a student at the College of North West London. Bronze was won by Joseph Conroy of Trane UK who is studying at Eastleigh College/ECTA.

SkillFridge has been designed to promote standards and skills across the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, developing competence into excellence.
