Daikin appoints SK Sales as distributor

UK: Daikin UK has appointed fan and air handling wholesaler SK Sales as a stockist of its Sky Air and split air conditioning systems.

Established in 1993, SK Sales operates from nine locations across England, Scotland and Wales.

The company is part of the Airvance Group, which was formed in February 2020 from the merger of the France Air group and the HVAC division of the SIG Group plc. SK Sales had been acquired by SIG in 2013.

The new partnership signals SK Sales’ expansion into the air conditioning market, led by recently appointed head of air conditioning, Richard Sked.

Sked has experience of the Daikin range through five years as senior technical engineer at Daikin’s Weybridge office between 2011 and 2016.

Managing director of SK Sales is Richard Ward, who previously spent eight years at Carrier, initially as MD of Carrier Holland Heating and latterly as Carrier commercial director. He also spent nearly four years as commercial director at wholesaler HRP from 2008 to 2011.
