DiversiTech acquires ACR Supplies

ACR Supplies directors Tony Horne, Craig Peebles and Mark Rampling

UK: DiversiTech, owners of air conditioning and refrigeration ancillaries supplier Pump House, has acquired rival company ACR Supplies.

In a remarkable development, the move sees Craig Peebles, MD and founder of ACR Supplies, rejoining Pump House, the company he co-founded in 2000. Peebles stepped down from his position as sales director of Pump House in 2017 – a year after the company was sold to US supplier DiversiTech.

ACR Supplies was founded in 2019 by Peebles and former Pump House product manager Tony Horne. The company is based in 540m² premises to the west of Nottingham city centre just five miles from the Pump House headquarters.

The company’s position became confused at the beginning of this year when Mark Rampling, a director of ACR Supplies and owner of its largest supplier, Malaysian manufacturer LNE, sold LNE to UK rival Aspen Pumps.

Commenting on the buy-out, Pump House MD Dave Bass commented: “This acquisition will serve to offer UK wholesalers an even more extensive choice of products, coupled with the excellent customer service Pump House is renowned for in the industry.”

Following the consolidation of the two companies, on September 1, Pump House will be changing its name to DiversiTech International, with the Pump House pumps remaining under the corporate umbrella, as a stand-alone brand.
