HPA UK is name of merged heat pump groups

UK: Further details have been revealed about the structure of HPA UK, the new unified trade body formed by the merger of the three main UK heat pump associations.
Due to launch in January, the planned merger will see the Heat Pump Association (HPA), Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA) and Heat Pump Federation (HPF) come together to represent the complete heat pump supply chain.
Latest information reveals that the merged association will be continue to be registered at Companies House as the Heat Pump Association Ltd, but will trade as Heat Pump Association UK (HPA UK).
The merger will see the transfer of all of the assets, liabilities and operations of the GSHPA and HPF to the HPA collectively as a going concern.
Mark Wilkins, current HPA chair, and Laura Bishop, current GSHPA chair, will co-chair the new association until September 2027. Their respective current vice-chairs, Chris Taylor-Hamlin and Emma Bohan, will be Vice-Chairs of HPA UK until September 2027, at which point they will step up to co-chair until September 2029.

CEO: Charlotte Lee
Head of policy and communications: Olivia Smalley
Policy and communications executive: Chloe Davis
Membership and events officer: Stephen Bileby
Technical consultants: Nancy Jonsson and David Cowburn.
No role is listed for Bean Beanland, the current director for growth and external affairs at the Heat Pump Federation. An HPA spokesperson said that it was the new association’s intention to expand the team and confirmed that Bean Beanland was both an advocate of the merger and a valued stakeholder. “Further information will follow in due course,” the spokesperson said.
The HPA’s current parent association, FETA, will retain the secretariat contract for 2026.
