UK: IOR president Lisa-Jayne Cook and Women in RACHP Network co-chair Astrid Prado have been shortlisted in a list of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction Awards 2025.
The awards, organised by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), highlight the significant contributions of women from across the construction industry.
No stranger to awards, Lisa-Jayne Cook, the current president of the Institute of Refrigeration, is key accounts service sales manager at GEA. Astrid Prado, head of marketing at Star Refrigeration, was recently appointed as a co-chair of the Institute’s Women in RACHP Network (WiRACHP). Both are shortlisted in the Local Hero category, which celebrates women making a significant impact at a local or regional level.
The shortlist features women across 17 categories, with the final Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction being unveiled at the Awards ceremony in Manchester in September.
“It’s vital we foster an inclusive and welcoming space that recognises and celebrates the achievements of women in the construction industry, acknowledging the diverse experiences, contributions, and leadership that shape our sector,” said Deborah Madden, the CITB’s executive director, nations engagement.
