Nordic Climate buys Glasgow contractor TRS

UK: The Swedish contractor group Nordic Climate has made further inroads into the UK market with the acquisition of Glasgow-based Technical Retail Services Ltd (TRS).

Formed in 1998, TRS provides refrigeration, mechanical and electrical Installations across the UK, backed by additional offices in Bradford and Stowmarket.

This latest acquisition follows those of UK companies Cactus Mechanical, Westcold Refrigeration, Aircon Maintenance, and Glasgow-based CSD Air Conditioning towards the end of last year.

TRS now joins a group of over 100 Nordic Climate branches across the Nordic region and the Netherlands.

As well as strengthening its presence in the UK, Nordic Climate says that the acquisition adds a service-led business with long-standing partnerships with several of the UK’s major retailers.

TRS will continue to operate under its own name and from its current sites. It will be led by Robert Yule and Stephen Lees, who will continue in their roles together with the wider leadership team.
