Paul Singh to stand for IOR president

UK: Paul Singh, owner of the Chillair (UK) Training Academy, has joined  the race to be elected as the next president of the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR).

Singh, a current member of the IOR’s board of trustees, is also chair of the Birmingham Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

His name is now added to the previously announced list of three candidates recommended by the IOR’s nominations committee: Paul Arrowsmith, Steve Gill and Rob Lamb.

Three members are also standing for the two vacancies on the IOR’s board of trustees: Stephen Benton of training firm Cool Concerns, David Bostock, division director of Integral UK’s Cooling Technologies division, and Shaun Creech, head of training and development at Meridian RACHP Training and assessor/lecturer at City of Portsmouth College.

Online voting will begin this week, with the results announced at the IOR’s AGM on 29 October.
