Three stand for IoR board selection

The three candidates (left to right): Craig Girdlestone, Christopher Griffiths and Amy Jade Richardson

UK: Three members are standing for election this year for two positions on the Institute of Refrigeration’s board of trustees.

The candidates are Craig Girdlestone, a fellow of the Institute and MD of refrigeration consultancy Danston, Christopher Griffiths of consultants Omega Solutions and Amy Jade Richardson of Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

The board comprises up to 10 members: six elected members, the president, president-elect, immediate past president and treasurer. The elected members normally serve for three years, with two retiring in rotation each year. However, with the recent resignation of Graeme Fox, there will be no immediate past president representation on the board this coming year.

Craig Girdlestone has been a part of the Institute of Refrigeration for over 20 years, initially in the original service engineers section. He began his career over 30 years ago as a naval engineer.

Christopher Griffiths is UK technical manager at Omega Solutions and also an associate lecturer at The University of West England. He joined the industry in 2011 as a technical engineer at Cotswold Vale Refrigeration and previously spent six years with Epta, latterly as design applications manager.

Amy Jade Richardson started as an engineer with Richardson Marine Refrigeration in 1997 and has subsequently held a varied sales and engineering career across the refrigeration and air conditioning sector. Previous employers have included GEA, Halton Group, Advanced Air, Mitie and Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick. Richardson has an active involvement in the IoR Women in RACHP committee and Women’s Engineering Society.

Voting closes at 12 noon on Tuesday 29 October 2024.
