Wolseley leases NE distribution centre
23rd July 2025
UK: Wholesaler Wolseley has taken a lease on a new 107,775ft2 distribution centre in Darlington.
According to the developers, Greenbox Darlington, Woleseley has taken one of three prime industrial units on the new North East logistics park, which was completed in March.
Greenbox Darlington is a joint venture by Partners Group and Citivale, delivering more than 400,000ft2 of sustainable, Grade A logistics and industrial space built speculatively to net zero carbon construction and operation standards.

Wolseley declined to comment on the new facility, saying the company was not in a position to share any details at this time. Greenbox Darlington said the new distribution centre would support Wolseley’s extensive network of branches across the UK, “ensuring supply chain resilience while operating from a cutting-edge, low-carbon facility”.
Designed to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A’ standards, the facility incorporates air-source heat pumps and photovoltaic-ready roofs, allowing for future installation of 100% solar panels.
The facility is built to include two level doors and eight dock loading doors.
It is strategically located close to the A66 and A1(M) corridors. Teesside International Airport is nearby and Teesport, Hartlepool, and Sunderland ports can all be reached within an hour, streamlining import and export operations.
